Attorney FAQ:

Do we take liens? Yes, we prefer to accept liens involving any auto related traffic or pedestrian injuries that have taken place within the state of Nevada. The lien must be managed by PI Attorneys who are also located within the state of Nevada, or those who are active members of NJA.

However, if you had sustained an injury in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Washington, Texas, Missouri, or Colorado but are residing in Nevada and planning to receive treatment in Las Vegas, we can work with an attorney from the Ichthus Injury Network, or affiliated members of CAALA.

Do we offer massage on lien? We have three massage therapists that we will refer to that are accepting liens in their practice. We are always open to negotiating with new therapists about this process. The doctor of chiropractic may perform the massage if time permits but it will be limited to somewhere between 15 to 30 minutes.

Will we treat pediatric? Yes, as long as the minor is accompanied by their parent.

Will we treat pregnant patients? Yes

Will we treat TMJ? Yes, we can co-manage with your other chiropractor, and focus our treatments only on the jaw itself under an attorney lien.

If the patient is being referred for TMJ evaluation under a lien in consideration of treatment, it will be billed as an office consultation code (99242-99245 or 99252-99255) . For treatment, CPT 98943 is used for adjusting the jaw; occasional therapy may be needed such as heat therapy 97010, ultrasound therapy 97035, infrared therapy 97026, attended FDA cleared low level laser therapy 97039-52, dry needling 20560, extracorporeal shockwave therapy 0101T, application of massage therapy 97124-59, or myofascial release/trigger point therapy/Graston Technique (IATSM) 97140-59.

Some modalities available for recovery from auto related injuries may include:

a.) Attended FDA Cleared Class IV Low Level Laser Therapy

b.) Attended FDA Cleared Dolphin Neurostim (direct microcurrent applied to stimulate acupressure or trigger points)

c.) FDA Cleared Fisher Wallace Stimulator®, a neurostimulation device to treat post-concussion symptoms such as depression, anxiety and insomnia.

d.) Neuromuscular re-education with an active muscle release technique and proprioception training

e.) Ultrasound therapy to increase the blood flow of a localized area, reduce the swelling and inflammation in that area. Can be used to enhance the healing of a bone fracture.

f.) Extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) for treating tendons (muscle to bone attachments) and other soft tissue related injuries that may include scar tissue build up or adhesions; It has been FDA approved for plantar fasciitis and tennis elbow conditions.

g.) Cranial Myofascial Release with muscle energy technique for post-concussion and TBI related headaches

h.) Dry Needling involves the use of acupuncture needles to stimulate muscle fibers, it can be used directly over trigger points, and help to tighten or relax the tendons.
